Understand the purpose of your training program and communicate the purpose to your athletes. A program works when the athlete understands the purpose of each exercise, training block, etc. And when they understand the purpose, they’re more likely to buy in to the program and reap greater results.
Athletes who can clean heavy and snatch heavy have great potential to hit harder, run faster, and jump higher. And what seems to be the least appreciated, their ability to brace through contact may give them an edge over their competition.
