Nicole Surdyka is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), as well as a Certified Performance and Sport Scientist (CPSS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). She has led sports medicine and multidisciplinary teams in the high-performance and professional sport setting, working as Rehab Director for Seattle Reign and Lead Physiotherapist at the Red Bull Athlete Performance Center. Dr. Surdyka consults with leagues and clubs around the world to help build and develop their medical, performance, and sport science staff and services. She also works with athletes privately and online through E3 Rehab and mentors students and early career professionals.
Dr. Surdyka is currently studying at Manchester Metropolitan University in the Master of Sport Directorship program, where she is researching health and performance structures and strategies in professional women’s soccer. She is passionate about translating research into practice and aims to do this through blogs, podcasts, and social media, as well as by mentoring and teaching continuing education courses. She regularly presents at national and international sports medicine and performance conferences.
