Mary Foster, most widely known as Auntie ThrowSumthin on X, is a youth throws coach in the Dallas-Forth Worth area who started coaching kids as young as age 8 in 1994. Although the youth-aged athletes make up most of her clientele, Mary has coached throws at nearly every level, including post-collegiate.
High School track and field coaches both in Texas and across the USA refer to Mary as a community resource for all things related to coaching youth throws. She has conducted youth throws camps, hosted throws competitions, presented at coaches association meetings, was a guest speaker at off-season training seminars, spoken on several track and field related podcasts, and has visited area high schools to provide tips and resources to coaches on how to conduct throws training for developmental to advanced throwers. With her "I'll come to you" approach, Mary is known to show up with a truck full of equipment ready to conduct a full practice session on demand.
