Tyler Standifird is an Associate Professor of Biomechanics in the Exercise Science Department at Utah Valley University (UVU). His research centers around force and motion capture data of various sports including weightlifting, running, golf, and activities of daily living. He has been collecting golf data in his lab looking at force plate metrics and Trackman ball flight data for swing velocity improvements. He also has been working with the athletics department on force plate testing for various jumping and landing tasks for men’s and women’s basketball, volleyball, men’s and women’s soccer, and elite high school basketball.
