Tim Rabas has served as Associate Director of Football Strength and Conditioning/Director of Football Athletic Performance for North Carolina State since January 2016. He was previously on the Wolfpack’s strength staff from 2012-2014, before spending 2015 as the Associate Football Strength & Conditioning Coach at Nebraska. Prior to 2012, Tim spent six years at Oregon State as an assistant strength and conditioning coach, working with the football program. He was also the Director of Strength & Conditioning for men’s basketball, volleyball, baseball, wrestling, swimming programs, and performance camps at OSU.
From 2004 to 2006, Rabas worked with football, wrestling, and women’s basketball at Northern Illinois University. He also served as a graduate assistant at The Citadel—where he earned his master’s degree in exercise and sports science—and completed a strength and conditioning internship with the Chicago Bulls.
Tim received his undergraduate degree from Wisconsin-Steven Point in health promotion with a minor in nutrition. He was a four-year letter winner in football at Wisconsin-Stevens Point and was named Special Teams Player of the Year twice. Rabas is a member of USA Weightlifting and the National Strength Coaches Association (NSCA), and he is also a licensed massage therapist. He was once competitive in Olympic weightlifting, ranking as high as 13th.
