Coach Maria Vitazka has a passion for analyzing swim stroke technique. She has coached at every level from age-group swimmers to elite-level swimmers and was the Head Coach at a medium-sized swim club in Southern Sweden. An All-American distance swimmer from the University of Cincinnati, Vitazka turned her master’s degree in neuroendocrinology into a professional career in analytics and data management, which eventually led to a full-time endeavor as a swim coach.
As a coach, her inspiration comes from the coaches she was fortunate to swim for in the U.S., as well as from her interest and knowledge in biomechanics and physiology. With a focus on stroke technique and analysis, Coach Vitazka offers complete analysis of athletes’ swim strokes using video analysis and force measurements, with a goal of helping athletes become more efficient and faster swimmers.
