Connor Ryder is an Assistant S&C Coach in his second year within the Boston Red Sox Minor League system. He comes to the role from Springfield College, where he was a graduate assistant leading football, baseball, track and field throwers, and women’s gymnastics. While at Springfield College, he saw the football team achieve their first victory in the DIII NCAA Championship Tournament in 16 years, finishing with a 9-3 record and #25 in the final D3football.com national poll, as well as four all-region throwers and two national champion gymnasts. He has previously held internship positions with UNC-Chapel Hill football, as well as spending two years as an intern with his alma-mater, UMass Amherst.
Connor hosts the SC Mafia Strength and Conditioning Podcast on Spotify and Apple Podcasts. On the podcast, he speaks with other alumni of Springfield College Strength and Conditioning and discusses where they are, where they’ve been and where they’re going since their time on Alden Street.
Connor graduated from UMass Amherst in 2021 with a bachelor’s degree of Kinesiology and is currently finishing his master’s of strength and conditioning from Springfield College. He holds certifications through the NSCA, USAW, and FMS.
